Card Holders

Well hello there.  I haven't been getting much done in the craft room lately.  But I still have a couple of projects from Christmas time to share with you.

Like these card holders.  I made a bunch and gave them away as Christmas gifts.  I kept one for myself of course, which I use to store my many rewards cards.

I pretty much followed this tutorial from The Crafty Cupboard.

I didn't want the button closure however.  Instead, I used a 5" piece of elastic for a bigger loop.  One that would go arund the whole case.

These holders are really handy.  I love that it was a quick project.

And it was a great project for scraps.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.  I can hear thunder starting to rumble in the distance here so if it is storming where you are - stay safe.

I am sharing this project at my favorite parties.

#RBDmysteryblocks - April Mystery Block

Sometimes you have to make your own Sunshine.  Which I did yesterday with the Riley Blake Designs April mystery block.

What I learned making this block:  That sometimes it is best just to focus on one project at a time.  I was multitasking while cutting out the pieces for this block and ended up cutting the wrong sizes.  And since I was using scrap pieces, I didn't have enough left over so I had to change what I was using for one of the fabrics.  Oops.

{Not So Confidential} - April in Review

"April is the cruelest month..."  according to T.S. Eliot.  I tend to agree when reflecting on the weather this April.  If you follow me on Instagram you have seen how snowy the month was here so I won't bore you again except for this photo which is my favorite.
